Session Description

In this session, young writers will learn how to turn their wildest ideas and funny observations into laugh-out-loud sketch comedy! Through games, writing prompts, and group brainstorming, kids will explore the building blocks of sketch comedy while practicing key skills like collaboration, “yes, and” thinking, and creative problem-solving. Through sketch writing and storytelling as a group, students will hone their listening skills, support each other’s ideas, and build something bigger together. A great fit for budding comedians, storytellers, writers who can find the funny in anything! The session will culminate with a table read showcase of students' favorite sketches they've written!
