Session Description

Designed exclusively for returning and invited 201-level students, this advanced summer workshop is all about staying sharp and diving deeper into the scene work that makes improv so exciting. This high-energy class gives experienced players the chance to keep their instincts warm while continuing to grow as confident, connected improvisers. Through fast-paced scene work, advanced short-form games, and collaborative challenges, students will strengthen the core skills that elevate great improv: active listening, commitment, emotional connection, character work, adaptability, and finding “the game” of a scene. Players will practice making bold choices, heightening comedic patterns, supporting their scene partners, and building stronger, more dynamic performances together. More than just keeping skills fresh over the summer, this workshop gives students a space to reconnect, take creative risks, and continue developing the confidence, trust, and spontaneity that come from high-level improv play. Expect lots of laughter, quick thinking, memorable characters, and the kind of energy that makes performance-level improv so rewarding. For rising 4th graders and older!
