Session Description

Through fast-paced games, scene work, and collaborative exercises, students will build the core fundamental skills of great short-form improv with Unthinkable Comedy, including listening, resilience, teamwork, commitment, and trusting their instincts. Students will explore character creation, discover “the game” of a scene, and learn how to make bold choices that lead to big laughs and stronger storytelling. More than just comedy, improv nurtures divergent thinking and helps young people communicate clearly, think on their feet, support others, and grow in confidence, all in a fun, low-pressure environment packed with laughter and connection. No prior improv, acting or theater experience necessary. Improv is for everyone, and every class offers a chance to play, take creative risks, and have an absolute blast. At dismissal, Unthinkable Coaching staff will meet registered students at their designated dismissal areas on school property and escort them directly to the Greenpoint Comedy Club for class. Walking transportation is available to students enrolled at P.S. 31 and P.S. 34.
